I got this from Phil at about 0900 EDT "My hosting company sent out an announcement that they were planning a 12 hour maintenance/upgrade for Friday night. That was 2 1/2 days ago. In my initial status requests they said it was taking longer than expected, but now they are no longer responding, and the phone lines are busy. I expect something major occurred that they were not expecting. And now all hands are on deck. I am in the process of moving my mail domain so at least I can respond to requests like yours. I'm doing all I can to get things back online, but in these days of remote server farms, there is only so much I can do. I'm resigned to having to standby to see what transpires. My level of frustration is high, because I just upgraded my own server and it was no longer experiencing the slowdowns on Sat morning. I was looking forward to trouble free times. I appreciate your patience."
Talked to website owner, Phil Malone, about site down. He said web host service was upgrading infrastructure on Fridaty .. should only be a two hour downtime. Well we are now three days, web host service probably took weekend off and fix it Monday :(
WEL1025 thanks for that. The last IP address I had was 216.246.41.226 and so was stuck at the DNS resolution. looks like both the server is down and no DNS. It also looks like he is using one of the intermediary companies to update his DNS. If he got a DHCP change from his provider and INTERNET NAMES WORLDWIDE hasen't kept up it may simply be that his public IP address changed and no DNS change has been forwarded to ICANN.
