Their site may be up but many customer's servers are still down. No communication or updates other that "we are working on it" and "fixed soon". Having used them for a decade and always had top notch service, the problem must be really bad or more to it than we have been led to believe.
Down since Christmas Eve about mid day. That evening they sent out the email message below. Didn't expect to hear from them Christmas Day but should have given an update by today 12//26. Been using them for over 10 years. Worse outage by far. Must have really messed up their systems. Email: "At approximately 9:00 am Eastern Standard Time a cyber-attack was launched against Cloud South. Our Email system was compromised as a result. It is possible you received a bogus email alleged from support at cloudsouth.com. This was an illegitimate email and did not come from Cloud South management and should be disregarded. This is why this email is being sent from a 3rd party mail provider, we expect to have our mail and ticketing on-line shortly. We are currently making changes to our security protocols in regard to this event and as a result it is possible that some of your services may be experiencing interruptions. We are taking this incident extremely seriously and we will update you shortly. We apologize for this incident and know we are actively working through the details to restore normal service levels. The Cloud South Team"
Everything is down since Christmas Eve evening (right now over 36 hours). This includes my site. Yesterday a request to them got a Cloudflare response but now just got plain text "Page is not available" (Yup, checked the source). A few hours before it went down I got a strange email claiming CloudSouth was complicit in child porn by not taking down a site they manage. Don't know if this is relevant. It came from their support email (verified in source) so maybe they got hacked.
