My last received email was timestamped at 7:06 AM EST today. Both of my email clients have not been able to connect with Mail2World since then. My ISP says Mail2World is not telling them anything about the outage. Mail2World is getting about as bad as TuCows was. Nothing on Mail2World's status page either. My ISP says the entire site is down. Gave Mail2World to Downdetector to monitor.

Down, no response to any mail client. no word on what is wrong. they won't even tell my ISP why. no ETA either.

Since most of emails were not accesable a few months back, I had to add another Outlook so I could go on with my business but I also kept mail2world because I liked it. I still access my email but I lost all I had saved for several years. Where is it gone? It's been a few months I cannot use save to... Could you help me retreive what I've lost? What is #lang 4 and all these other unintelligble language. I cant do much except I can read previous emails.

Everything is working great and looks normal again.

Where do we begin? App does come up, clearing cache removes all the "lang_45" style stuff. Incoming mail is erratic with sometimes seeing a pop up to say it's come but no way of getting to it. I literally cannot send anything outgoing even when pressing on send from Compose puts a SENT pop up as both the email doesn't show in the Sent items folder and the mail doesn't arrive at the account you sent it to. This, Mail2World, is a long away from a functional email account and of necessity I'll have to set up another email account as I just cannot use this which I've had since 2006.

I can login to M2W but when I click on inbox the page is blank. It's says I have unopened email but I can't get to them.

If you even want to import your emails saved you either have to pay these jokers $20 for a year of PlatinumX for POP/IMAP access or pay $99 at least for a download tool. When will their next outage be? I'm done using any M2W accounts I have going forward. Bye!

It is NOT completely fix yet!!! I do not remember the tabs of by heart....was the first one delete or second....In any case I will not press any tabs till they getit back to normal! The regular login pages still not work for us but thanks to the comment below from Hans we found the Mail2world app and it works like a glance. All mails except from January 13th and 14th are restored.

After entering spray.pangia.biz (Firefox) I get a login page from Buckeye Broadband. Spooky..... Mail2world app on my Iphone works though.

Thank God up and running now on my UK account. Hopefully lessons learnt and strategies put in place to avoid recurrence. That goes for both M2W and us users going forward.

January 16--US account @ 12:25 AM eastern time [For those who are not in the US, that is same time zone as New York]. Logged in without any issues and the account page displayed properly. Clicked on the folder containing old emails. They displayed properly. Clicked on some emails from the past few weeks from the inbox list. They displayed properly. Email from yesterday displayed properly. Appears to be corrected for my account.

USA, Mail2world is still down now for the fourth day. I was able to sign in but all that appears on the page is some Chinese gibberish. This is very upsetting, annoying and frustrating, I want to scream!

This site is showing that the server is UP. Yes, I can sign in, but I still cannot get to my in box to read my emails. SIGH

OK. Mail2world.com is up. ermm,..hurrah?!? Not quite there yet. The inbox and other folders are missing and there are a lot of placeholder tags around on the pages but something is happening. Fingers crossed folks. From Down to Disruption.

Cannot connect error coming up when I attempt to log in from the UK on professional body's website.

Mail2world.com domain is up, but i cant login from Sweden.

After logging in if you click on where it says spam then your emails recieved will come up.

Also has ##lang_gen_4 in everything thing that I open. in account settings and when I sign out has that strange name and it doesnt say sign out. think its in chinese so I can understand it.

This evening in the UK, the site is back up. But when logging in, the account is not showing the normal pages just some code-like messages. So not able to access Inbox or any other folders. According to reports, no user data was compromised during the ransomware attack. Hopefully, the service will be back to normal soon.

Finally was able to get into my email account. but where its suppose to say compose to bring up a blank email instead it say ##lang_Gen_4 and say the same name next to all of my emails I have already opened.

US account @ 3:00 PM eastern time. Was able to get the log in page to display. Blue circles were spinning around for a while before my account opened. The display was not normal. Mostly blank page. Clicked on a folder containing old saved emails. It displayed the list of most recent emails, including some I had not read. Tried to read a few of the emails and they did not display. Clicked on the same folder again [saved old emails] and now the list of those old emails appeared. Tried to read them but they did not display after clicking on them. Logged out after that.

USA, this is the fourth day that mail2world.com is down. There is not any dialog from the site as to advise people what has happen, what is happening or is the issued being address. If anyone has any feedback please post it.

Seems like I spoke too soon. The M2W app on my phone had new mails today, but it’s down again now.

Our internet provider's UPDATE: Mail2World, third party email provider, continues to experience an outage that affects email customers. The outage has been attributed to a ransomware attack, but as we understand it, no customer data has been compromised. Please know we are working diligently with Mail2World on restoring service as quickly as possible. While an ETA has not yet been provided, teams are currently testing the platform to ensure it can be brought back online securely. Further status updates will be posted as we receive more information.

I don't know how you define disruption as opposed to down. I was last able to receive my email on 2022jan11 at about 21:00 eastern time. I waited a couple days and then reported it, but it's still not working. Typically I get my mail at alum.rpi.edu but it comes from mail2world. Thre surprising thing is that during these 3 days, mail2world has been reachable sometimes but I can't get my email there directly. When do you expect service to be restored?

Tried mail2world, and got this message: "This site can’t be reachedThe connection was reset. Try: Checking the connection Checking the proxy and the firewall Running Windows Network Diagnostics ERR_CONNECTION_RESET"

Expect 2-4 weeks before services are fully restored, that is the experience from other random ware attacks!

Why can’t I access my emails for the last 3 days ?

No service since tuesday.

I just posted that mail2world was down even though it somehow posted as up. People cannot get through to my email. I cannot reach it from computer or cell phone.

I have tried different computers, different browsers, and my cell phone which is on yet another network. I cannot reach mail2world.com even though you are saying it is up. My University of Illinois Alumni email is on it. A friend told me she sent me an email on this and it was returned as unreachable. I do not think it is just me.

The outage looks to be a ransomware issue with buckeye.net (M2W uses Buckeye as ISP, I beleive). From what I can make out, this isn't M2W at fault - the whole damn setup has gone quarantine while restoration work is going on. To be honest, if you want to blame anyone, blame the ransomware attackers who get their kicks out of screwing up people's lives with their nefarious activities. W*nkers. Been with M2W for nearly 18 years and have a LOT of mail history in there. Hope it's back together soon.

Site is up on network level (responding to pings and being able to connect via DNS system) but that does not mean the servers are back in operation; so far, no connection has been accepted so there is probably still restoration activities ongoing.

For several days now in the UK unable to access the mail2world.com site. mail2world.com didn’t send any data is the message coming up. As previous comments have reported, it does seem to be due to a ransomware attack. Why https://issitedownrightnow.com is displaying mail2world.com as up is a puzzle as it is still down.

Site has been down for at least 2 days now without any notifications of disruption on any of the provider's social media platforms or on this site.

Why server status "up"??????? Wrong information. Its total down in Europe Wednesday, Thursday, right now. Nothing changed since yesterday. Without any information from the company in the social media. Worst case.

The link https://www.toledoblade.com/... is behind a paywall, but I at least got a glimpse that they are working to restore the distriibuting server, the email storage has not been affected by the ransomware attack. All emails could thus be restored with time.

That timetable was rescinded, and we are back to not knowing when Mail2World can bring back their email service. PS: I know that Mail2World is not mentioned in that article. I've tried to access my email several times throughout today and yesterday. I've tried typing in the web address as well as a variety of links and I keep getting the same message telling me that Mail2world can't be reached. Grrrr... very frustrating.

Usually problems accessing mail2world.com seem to center around security certificates. This is the first time for me that it hasn't let me in in one or two attempts. I.T. must be giving it a good look at last. Patience will have to happen today.

Called customer support at 2:40 PM eastern time(US). There is no estimate regarding when service will resume. They do not have an update from IT...other than IT is working on the issue.

Mail2world and mail2uk down for some days. The problem clearly lies with the management. Where is the explanation??

Server is down so I can't get my email. Also all email being sent to me is being bounced in such a way that it will not automatically retried for a few days. As a result I will probably be removed from many email lists that I really want to hear from. Also Mail2World is not posting any useful information on their twitter or facebook websites to keep users posted on what is going on. All of the above is inexcusable for a company that advertises itself as "failsafe."

Down for me as RPI Alum in TEXAS. Error message is indeed misleading referring to possible DNS problem. Error on multiple browsers and multiple wifi systems. Funny this happened just after they charged my credit card for the yearly payment too!

I've been using Mail2World for about 15 years. I suppose eventually all good things come to an end. At least inform us so we can get closure and move on.

They run the ACCA webmail. No access for over 24 hours in the UK. At first when trying to login I got "-1" in the top left corner and nothing else on the screen, but now it doesn't even connect.

I have tried on two different browser platforms. Both state your certificate has expired and they cannot verify authenticity/safety of site.

I have never had any problems till now. The login page shows and then the next page with the mail does not load. Sometimes a small portion of it will load but not all.
