All Lionbridge sites have been inaccessible since early on Saturday. Also impossible to connect to Translation Workspace. A vendor manager has kindly informed me that there is some sort of global issue with the server. There is no information from the company. If you write to ServiceDesk, you get nothing back!
Still down at 14:19 CET on July, 11. Lionbridge has never been known for its ability to communicate with its vendors. Some form of communication about this "mega"issue would be welcome. On the other hand, it is absolutely incomprehensible that a company of its size does not have any plan B!
Thank you everybody for all the posts. I have received more information from your posts altogether then from anyone in the company. 2 PMs were considerate enough to send an email, but that was it and with little information. I don't recall something like this ever happening in the past and I am here from the beginning. This, following a strange glitch in LCX since last week, in which the value of some jobs doesn’t add to the total is very concerning. Where are Lionbridge’s servers based, does anyone know? This lack of information and transparency is not acceptable.
I just received the following e-mail from one of my PM: Hello Experts, Hope you all are doing well! This is to inform you that, we are currently experiencing global outage on Lionbridge systems due to ongoing maintenance work. Due to which you will not able to access any of lionbridge tools like (LCX, TMS, TWS). We will inform you all once the issue gets resolved then you can resume your work. We as a lionbridge employee also facing the same issue so we are unable to track the current status of production. Please let me know if you have any queries or concerns. Thank you !
My issue is same as everyone below. I contacted my project manager this morning and only received a reply "we are fixing this issue and will keep you posted if any updates". My project that is supposed to due today will be postponed. Still no official announcement from the company? Unbelievable.
As everybody says below, all sites related to Lionbridge are down. They have been down for the whole weekend. I find this very strange, nothing like this has ever happened before (that I am aware). I wonder if they have been hacked. The absence of any information to the freelance translators is unacceptable - because there are many who work over the weekend. Fortunately I take some comfort from sites like this, knowing it is a general issue.
I've also been trying to contact the Lionbridge website for almost 48 hours now! Totally frustrating as I have several jobs that are due on Monday morning. A simple message with a "Construction site" emoji or similar would have been welcome and calm nerves down!
I have a job to do for Monday morning. I have been trying to get on TMS since yesterday morning, nothing can be reached, not the TMS site, not the lCX site, nor the Partners Portal or Geoworkz. I've tried rebooting, removing my browser history and cookies etc. To no avail. I see below that I'm not the only one complaining abut this so the problem is not on my side. What's going on?
Same as other freelance translators who have reported this below, I have not been able to access any Lionbridge resources and platforms (LCX, TMS, TWS, Xliff, Geoworkz... including email, which is returned with an error) during all weekend now (Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th, July 2022). I also have jobs due Monday (tomorrow). I hope that this major issue will be solved soon.
Cannot get on to any Lionbridge site, and I work as a freelancer for them for almost 20 years... The Web site is not found, the LCX job site is not found, the TMS site is not found and the Partners Portal is not found... and Translation Workspace is not found... and I cannot even sign in to use XLIFF... and I have jobs due to Monday.
*All* Lionbridge properties are down today, including translationworkspace.com - meaning that not even their offline tools can work. This is the problem with having your offline tools phone home. I have work due for three different Lionbridge offices by Monday - and I can't work on them at all.
