The site is struggling to load specs pages. How ever once it has loaded everything else seems to work fine. But when you go to another page it takes you a good 6-5 minutes to load. it is a great website in my opinion however sometimes it say un-something to access the eternal api. i have been using this website for a good four years and this is not the first time it took longer than usual bout 5 months ago it was taking 40 seconds to load. any thoughts

If you visit too many pages it thinks you are a bot/scraping. Banned for a week or more. My office has been "blocked" for over a year (checked weekly and kept getting timed out). Checked on my phone data and connected without issue. Recommend going to UltimateSpecs. Similar variety without getting blocked. US actually replies to inquiries

Site down again ? Connexion failed and when the site not down and if you use too often it you will receive '503-Access Forbidden' and your ip will be banned for 1 week. If you use another connexion like Mobile 4G, that works again. It's frustrating and i will try other sites to get cars info

This must rank as one of the worst automotive websites on the Internet being as for the past two years or so, it often shows up first in a search and yet consistently refuses to work which is a shame because it was once a go to resource for reasonably accurate auto info. In fact, I do wish the search engines would stop wasting our time and remove this non-operational site from their searches while directing us to more valuable websites which do actually work. Indeed, until recently you could access its pages through Google's cache but even that has now been changed. I've also noticed that some have commented on I.P. blocking but even V.P.N.s don't seem to resolve this. Needless to say as someone who works in the automotive industry, I won't be recommending this site any more.

What a bunch of numb nuts its down longer than it is ever up. I could make a more sound site wtf give me the html!

Server down (timed out)

This is total bullshit. These morons at this website independently BLOCK your IP after a certain amount of use (around an hour at most). It stays blocked for around a week before they give you access to the website again from your IP. I've tested this several times where I've used the site for around 45 mins to an hour on my PC, had it randomly come up with a "403 Forbidden" error after about an hour, gotten on my phone using Wifi on the same network, gotten the SAME 403 error (since it's off the same network), then turned OFF my wifi on my phone and gotten on Verizon 4G service and had the website COME UP again for around an hour before it would block my phone. I don't know what is wrong with this website but they also don't answer any emails sent to them about the issue either. Such a fantastic resource for car info but what a crock of shit.

Site was down for a week or so. Yesterday evening I got on site for an hour or so , then it told me the site was forbidden code 403. I sent a couple of emails a year or so ago when i had the same problem . They never respond I don't think that the give shit.

It's a great site when it works ,as of august 13 2020 it either can not be reached or tells me i am forbidden entry.

This site has given me a 403 Forbidden error after checking multiple pages in a short period of time, and this isn't the first time. I wonder if there's some sort of system in place that shuts out visitors if it gets too much traffic from a single user?
